Cheang Fong Shipping & Travels Sdn Bhd has been registered as a private limited company in Malaysia since 1984. The company specializes in various segments of the shipping business and has entered different shipping segments as outlined below:

The company-initiated ferry services between Pangkor Island and Lumut in 1984.

The company expand the ferry services between Mersing, Johor, and Tioman Island, Pahang in 1991.

The management further expand our operations with our new ferry services in Port Klang and Lumut, Malaysia, connecting to Tanjung Balai and Belawan, Indonesia from 1994.

After 1997, our company changed its core business from ferry services to cargo services. During our peak period in 2004, we operated three steel cargo boats, namely MV. Indomas II, MV. Samudera Jaya, and MV. Indomas Express, facilitating the transportation of marine products between Lumut, Malaysia, and Belawan, Indonesia.

In 2010, our company ventured into bunkering services, supplying MGO and MDO in Lumut port. This new addition was made possible through our sister company, Syarikat Cheang Fong, bringing our company into a new era.

Due to new regulations imposed by Indonesia in 2015, we decided to discontinue our cargo vessel services. Since 2017, we have operated as a management company, handling and managing cargo and ships an Indonesian company.
Currently, we manage three cargo vessels, namely Samindo Jaya, Limadai 8, and Asahan Jaya. These vessels operate general cargo services between Lumut, Malaysia, and Belawan, Indonesia.
